Here’s the press release for the event:
(Lexington, KY, USA) July 17, 2007 – Have you ever considered working for yourself? Want to know the truth about the virtual assistant industry? Want to know if it’s the right path for you? The outsourcing business is booming and solopreneurs are creating successful careers by marketing their skills online.
RemoteProfessionals.com, a networking organization for independent service providers, is hosting a free panel discussion teleconference event to answer questions of those new to the industry and those interested in learning more about this career path.
The panel will be comprised of three successful, full-time career entrepreneurs. If you are interested in learning more about the world of virtual assistance, outsourcing, freelance work or offsite services – now is the time to take the next step!
“If I can help someone else get started in this industry, I’m happy,” said panel member Angela Parker (www.WickedWordCraft.com) who has been working independently for over seven years. “It’s not easy to break into this industry, but the work is plentiful once you build a solid foundation. Being able to ask questions of someone who has already been through it is essential and I wish I had sought an established mentor to help me get started. It would have saved me many of the struggles and the frustration in the early months. Now that I’m doing what I love, I try to give back by helping others follow their own bliss!”
Katie Baird (www.LooseEnds.net) has been in business since 1996, and she will cover topics related to website design and online business presentation. “I want to help people determine if they should take on the task of building their own website, or if they would be better served by hiring a web design pro,” said Katie, “Some people are do-it-yourself types, others aren’t. I want to help those new to the industry determine which they are – before they launch a business online. I’d also like to offer some time-saving tips for those who opt to do their own sites.”
Kimberley Thomas-Catanzaro (www.on-linesecretary.com) the accounting and financial guru on the panel, has been self-employed and serving clients for 17 years. “Keeping your books and accounts organized from the beginning will make running your own business much less stressful,” said Kimberly, “and I would like to help others get started properly so they can enjoy the journey more. I’m looking forward to answering any questions our audience may have about starting an online service business.”
This exclusive “Ask the Specialists” panel event will be held as a free teleconference on July 26, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. EST. The public is encouraged to attend and learn more about the realities of working online.
