Jott: A Cool, Free Productivity Tool for Real Estate Agents (and Everyone Else!)

Kimberly Thomas-Catanzaro (a peer professional who specializes in bookkeeping) recently sent me a note on a new productivity product (currently in public beta) that I think would be quite a boon for most real estate folks.

I’m going to be testing it over the next few days myself as a way to keep up with expenses. (I’m always out — and usually driving — when I think “oh, I should record this before I forget it.”) I always have my cell phone and can’t drive and use my tablet at the same time — at least not very well or very safely.

Jott lets me call in an email to my email address, or anyone else’s in my address book. Pretty cool concept. For more information, visit the Jott website and start getting more done during your “down” time.

And, I’m thinking this might be just the way to start using the “email post” option on WordPress to be able to blog verbally while I’m on the road when those ideas strike — before the details fade. Hmmmm….

Do read the terms and the privacy policy before signing up… I noticed that like Google, this service records your information: “Jott also reserves the right to read, access, disclose, and preserve any information as it reasonably believes is necessary” but does not claim rights to your content, “Jott does not claim any ownership in any of the content, including any voice recordings, text, data, information, images, photographs, music, sound, video, or other material, that you record via the phone, upload, transmit or store in your Jott account. We will not use any of your content for any purpose except to provide you with the Service.”
