Good for you! Personally I was lucky enough to be home schooled a few years using Calvert School in the early 80's while my family was traveling around on a sailboat, and I must say, I rather miss that. Ive discovered they now have a website at http://homeschool.calvertschool.org/ (I'm not affiliated with them in anyway.) Should the day ever come when I have progeny either of my own or to take care of, I will definitely also opt only for home schooling. In the end, a proper, stress free education is the best thing one can give a child - if one has the patience and time for it. For social interaction with other children roughly around my age (which is better than only interacting with children of exactly the same age), I had my bi-weekly Judo classes, Saturday morning German classes, and other group activities. There is no real reason to omit having home schooled children interact with other of their age range - a valuable lesson in itself, how to deal with others.

Just my 2 cents,
Cheers from a periodic reader of your blog.

Yeah, this is a little bulky (but still the BEST protection around). I had this for my first gen iPhone. I had to get a new case for my 3GS and opted for the casemate (still in hot pink for easy finding in dark places -- like purses) ID Credit Card Cases. Doesn't protect the face as well, and not water resistant, but uber cool to just grab my phone and have my drivers license AND my debit card with me.

You can see them here: http://www.case-mate.com/iPhone-3G-Cases/Case-Mate-iPhone-3G--3GS-ID-Credit-Card-Cases.asp and they do go on sale from time to time. I'll probably get a second one (maybe in lime green?) when they go on sale again.

Hi,

I found this information very helpful! Thank you! I'm like you and usually find my phone buried in my purse. lol Do you find that the silicone collects and holds on to lint and hairs?

I can tell that it makes the phone really bulky, but is it horribly bulky and cumbersome?

Thanks again!
