I think that it is essential to get away from everything (yes, even your kids) for a while and enjoy something solitary that's just for you. I like to go for walks outside or go on a hike by myself. Sometimes I like to just take a nice, hot bath at home if I can't get away from the house.

As far as the little things in life, don't sweat them. If the kids leave a mess in the kitchen, leave it alone. If the husband that was working on the car all day left the garage smelling of gas fumes, forget about it. Is it really worth putting a lot of thought and worry in to? I think the answer is no. We sometimes tend to stress out over things that are not that important - especially if we only had 24 hours to live. I can assure you that I would not care about a messy house or dirty laundry if I had not long to live.
