It was sweet (and flattering) of you to comment and share your own experiences. I think one of the reasons that we have more money when we manage to downsize is that we aren't spending quite so much of our money "escaping." After all, if you love your life, you don't need elaborate (and expensive) vacations to escape it. You don't need to go "buy yourself something nice" because you are all stressed out from working all the time and you never seem to have time to do anything for YOU. I'll know more about the validity of my theory in the weeks to come. Right now, I'm just reveling and relaxing in my newfound "Ahhhhhh!" And hoping that other areas of my life become less complicated soon. I know simplicity is my answer... I have for many years...but the journey from where I was to where I want to be isn't yet complete on that issue.
