A bit of progress is made
I bit the bullet yesterday and tried to locate all the old online journaling from the farm period. I located the lion’s share of it and spent much of the evening getting the first twelve chapters up and online via static pages. Those dozen chapters cover the first six months on the farm.
It’s hard to believe that I’m here now — having been THERE then. In the middle of that, I had to keep my sights on the big goals, now — I’m living those dreams. The rest of the journal goes for over a year after that. It will take a bit of time to get it all up, but for now visit the “Farm Chronicles” here on WickedBlog to learn more.
As I read over it, I recall details that I would have otherwise forgotten. I’ve always believed in journaling, and need to begin doing it again. No matter what your life is like now, I highly recommend that you regularly jot down a few lines. I’m a bit verbose, by nature, but even just a few lines for you to reflect on in a few years, will be a treasure you give yourself.
My life and my business keep me so busy now, that I’ve let my journal slide. I still jot down a few things here and there. But, as hectic as my life is now, it’s not nearly as challenging as it was during the first months here on the farm. I think it may be good to re-read this stuff occasionally – just to realize how far I’ve come, and to remember how interesting the journey has been.
Someday, it may make it into a book. For now it’s about 100 pages of the most growth-intensive months of my life. When I can, I’ll put up some more. For now, I’ve started the process, and that makes me happy.
Blessings,
Angela A. Parker
